Performance Door Service is based in Peoria — 12619 W Lowden Rd, 85383. Everywhere else in the valley we drive to; this is the one we start from. If you are in Peoria and something has gone wrong with your garage door, we are usually the closest crew you can call.

Peoria is really two different repair markets sitting next to each other, and it changes what we bring on the truck.

Around Sun City and Westbrook Village there is a large 55+ community and a lot of older housing stock. Older doors here are frequently one-piece rather than sectional, and one-piece doors often still require extension springs — the older design, mounted along the horizontal tracks. Extension springs can fly off when they break, which is why we treat them carefully, and it is why a lot of the conversations we have on that side of town are about whether a torsion conversion makes sense.

North Peoria is a different picture. Vistancia and the newer builds around Fletcher Heights are full of modern sectional doors on builder-grade hardware, and the part that gives up first is almost always the stock plastic rollers. As they wear the opener pulls harder, the door runs noisier, and eventually the panels start to flex. Swapping them for ball-bearing neoprene rollers is one of the cheapest and most worthwhile things you can do to a door of that age.

Whichever side of the city you are on, the service is the same: same-day where we can, no surcharge for evenings or weekends, a free phone quote, and a technician who explains what they found before doing anything about it.

Peoria questions

Where exactly are you based in Peoria?

12619 W Lowden Rd, Peoria, AZ 85383. It is a working business address rather than a showroom, so call ahead on (602) 368-4453 rather than turning up.

My door is a single one-piece door, not sectional. Can you still work on it?

Yes. A lot of the older stock around Sun City and Westbrook Village is one-piece, and many of those doors still require extension springs. We repair and replace extension springs as well as torsion, and we can talk you through whether converting is worth it for your door.

The door in my Vistancia house is only a few years old and it's already noisy. Is that normal?

Unfortunately yes. Most new doors ship with plastic rollers, which are not designed to last. As they degrade the door gets louder and the opener works harder. Replacing them with ball-bearing neoprene rollers fixes the noise and takes the strain off the opener.

How quickly can you get to me in Peoria?

Faster than anywhere else — this is where the office is. Most Peoria calls are same day and in many cases within the hour.
