How do I select the right opener?
You need the height, width and thickness of the door along with its construction — wood, steel or insulated — to work out the motor size and drive type needed to lift it. Give us a call and we will send an inspection team out to determine exactly what you need.
My remotes have stopped working. Is the opener dead?
Not necessarily. Check the wall-mounted control first to make sure it is not in lock mode — with lock mode engaged the remotes will not open the door. If it is not that, we can diagnose it on site.
Do I need a lock on my garage door?
If you are running a motorised opener, the opener is your lock. The only reason for a manual lock is if you are not running a machine. Having both can be very dangerous — if the door is manually locked and someone presses the opener, you can wreck the door. If you are worried about break-ins, a security shield across the top of the door prevents people prying the top sections open.
Can you replace a lost remote or add a keypad?
Yes. We stock hand-held and keychain remotes, keyless entry pads and fingerprint entry pads, and we programme them on site.
